A friend of mine recently saw that meme is so popular and asked me how to play it. I said that the first step is to know what pitfalls there are.

Today I happened to be slacking off, so I would like to remind you of the pitfalls I have stepped on and others have stepped on:

1. Wallet security

The best written basic skills for playing on the chain is "Dark Forest Self-help Manual" by Mr. Slow Mist Yuxian, which includes a lot of basic knowledge about wallets.

In addition, here are a few common pitfalls:

Wallet has some tokens inexplicably, don't worry, it's a phishing;

When you log in to the website to connect to the wallet, you must check the content of the signature and whether the URL of the signature is correct; even if it is a common website, you should check whether it is a normal signature requirement every time you sign. I once had an NFT transferred on opensea in this way.

Mnemonics and private keys must be used offline, and don't copy them with a clipboard.

When transferring money to yourself, don't copy the address of the last transfer record, and give a name to the commonly used address.

Wallet private keys or mnemonics can be divided into three parts, ac, ab, and bc, and placed in three places for disaster recovery. However, now Binance and OK web3 wallets are all MPC wallets, which can also be retrieved, but it is recommended to back up by yourself.

Hardware wallets are the best.

Download wallets from Google Play or App Store, never Baidu or use those given by netizens.

Understand the concept of identity wallets.

2. Device security

It is recommended to use MAC computers. Once upon a time, all the computers in my home were attacked, and all the files were lost on computers except MAC.

3. Social engineering

Group friends, relatives and friends, phone calls, text messages, emails, and fake Twitter accounts.

Hang up the phone directly, don't click on the link, and read the x account name clearly.

4. The pitfalls of meme trading

Don't use bots to follow orders. If you want to use bots that input private keys, don't put too much money.

Many companies, institutions, and project parties in the currency circle are also grass-roots teams, don't be obsessed.

I think of this first, and you are welcome to add. I will write a little bit of my experience playing meme recently and send it to my friends.
