$BONK 's comeback against $WIF , reclaiming the top spot in Solana meme coins
The popular meme coin Bonk on Solana has recently been on fire, breaking through the significant barrier of $0.000057 and surpassing its old rival Dogwifhat (WIF), reclaiming the top seat in Solana meme coins.
Bonk has gone through quite a few ups and downs. Previously, it was pushed off the top by Dogwifhat, but it never gave up. Recently, it successfully staged a comeback thanks to a strong performance.
In just a week, Bonk's price increased by over 72%, leaving WIF far behind. Although WIF also rose, it only increased by 13.7%, which pales in comparison to Bonk.
Bonk not only surpassed WIF but also outperformed the global cryptocurrency market. It's worth noting that during this period, the global cryptocurrency market only rose by 4.6%.
Although Bonk's price has slightly retreated from its peak, it still rose by 11.5% within 24 hours, showing quite a momentum.

That said, WIF has also risen nearly 14% in the past week, showing a decent performance, at least better than most digital assets and the meme industry.
The reason Bonk was able to stage a comeback is thanks to its vibrant ecosystem and strong community support. Since its launch last December, Bonk has attracted a lot of attention from Solana users due to its potential as a social networking layer.
Several projects have emerged around Bonk, such as BONKbots and BONKSwap, which further solidified its position in the Solana decentralized finance (DeFi) sector.
There are rumors of a plan called BURNmas, which aims to delete a large number of Bonk tokens during the Christmas season to improve its scarcity, possibly increasing its value further.
