The Bitcoin market frenzy continues, and at the time of writing, it has once again set a new all-time high, with OKX spot data reaching as high as $95,880, up more than 4% in the past 24 hours.
MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings have a floating profit of over $15 billion
As Bitcoin hits a new all-time high, based on the current price of Bitcoin at $94,800, MicroStrategy, the largest Bitcoin holding company among U.S. listed companies, currently holds 331,200 BTC. The total value of its Bitcoin holdings has risen to $31.7 billion, with a total holding cost of $16.518 billion and a floating profit of more than $15 billion.
MicroStrategy's market value exceeds $100 billion, making it one of the top 100 companies in the United States
Due to Bitcoin's extremely hot market performance this month, MicroStrategy (MSTR), regarded as a 'Bitcoin concept stock', has garnered significant attention from investors. Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted that MicroStrategy became the most traded stock in the U.S. on the 19th, surpassing NVIDIA and Tesla, which is quite remarkable.
The stock reached a high of $498 during Wednesday's trading session, briefly pushing its market value above $100 billion, ranking it among the top 100 publicly traded companies in the U.S., with its rank rising 18 places to 93rd.
MicroStrategy has outperformed Bitcoin and NVIDIA this year.
MSTR closed at $473.83 on Wednesday, with an increase of over 10%, and continued to rise by more than 3% after hours, reaching $489.15.
The stock has seen an astonishing increase of 591.52% this year so far, far exceeding Bitcoin's year-to-date increase of 113.18%, and also surpassing NVIDIA's 202.86%. Since MicroStrategy began incorporating Bitcoin into its balance sheet in 2020, the stock has increased by about 3,025% over the past five years, outperforming NVIDIA's 2,668% in the same period. This demonstrates the significant strategic effect of founder Michael Saylor's decision to hold Bitcoin as a store of value.
Michael Saylor recently expressed optimism that Bitcoin will break the $100,000 milestone by the end of the year. He also plans to hold a New Year's Eve party to celebrate Bitcoin surpassing $100,000. He initiated a related poll on X this week, with over 85% of participants believing BTC will exceed $100,000 on New Year's Eve.
Will Bitcoin break $100,000 before the end of the year? The market is eagerly waiting to see.
