Many people ask me, or are puzzled about why Bitcoin has risen, while other altcoins have fallen.
Let me explain why I feel this way.
First, when Bitcoin moves, altcoins often do not follow. When money flows into the cryptocurrency space, it usually first goes to Bitcoin, and then may eventually flow to altcoins. But which altcoin will rise, and which sector will be hot, there are too many choices now, and it’s really hard to guess.
Second, big players prefer Bitcoin more.
Third, there are too many trading options now; what you hold or what I hold may not rise at all. So, it’s still better to choose those coins with large trading volumes and stable trends.
Fourth, altcoins are generally traded by retail investors, and now they prefer to speculate on 'meme coins'. In the past, everyone used to play leveraged trading chasing altcoins, but now with meme coins, that’s a much bigger gamble.
I think these several factors have affected the altcoin market. But I believe good altcoins will eventually rise.
