Elon Musk's artificial intelligence initiative Xai will be integrated into social media platform X and also available as a standalone app, the company said on Thursday.
The billionaire also said xai launched its first artificial intelligence model, a bot called Grok, after it became available to all X Premium+ subscribers on Friday.
The program aims to create AI tools to “assist humanity in its quest for understanding and knowledge,” and Grok aims to answer questions with a little bit of intelligence.
Musk, who has criticized big tech companies for their AI work as fraught with censorship, launched Xai in July with an announcement that Google (GOOGL) describes it as "maximum truth-seeking AI" that seeks to understand the nature of artificial intelligence, in a way that rivals Ozan and Microsoft's (MSFT) cousin, .O) Bing AI.
“Grok can access information in real time through the X platform, which is a big advantage over other models,” Musk said.
Musk's social media company X, formerly known as Twitter, is separate from XAı, but the two companies work closely together. XAı also founded electric car maker Tesla (TSLA.O) and works with other companies.
Musk told British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak last week that he believed artificial intelligence was "the most disruptive force in history." Speaking at the first Global AI Safety Summit at Bletchley Park in the UK, Musk said technology could "do anything" and that jobs as we know them today would become a thing of the past.
Musk founded the company behind #openai,该公司是 chatgpt in 2015, sparking a global rush into generative AI technology, but he left the board in 2018.
