$XRP The Ripple community is excited as speculation has increased about a possible XRP collaboration with Hedera (HBAR) and Goldman Sachs. This trend follows comments from Shawn Oroogle, a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF). In a tweet, Oroogle fueled speculative rumors about an announcement involving the three companies.
XRP, HBAR and Goldman Sachs cooperation
However, Oroogle clarified that no evidence has been verified and that the claims are actually highly speculative. Nonetheless, his comments managed to generate significant interest among crypto enthusiasts, especially in the XRP community. Although Oroogle did not offer any concrete evidence, his statements seemed to raise any kind of potential implications of such a collaboration.
Fans of the Ripple ecosystem expressed their hope, and many believe that a significant update to XRP is imminent. The speculation received additional fuel when some community members tagged an earlier discussion involving Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Hedera co-founder Leemon Baird.
Goldman Sachs announces new blockchain venture
The rumors coincided with a report from Bloomberg that revealed Goldman Sachs' new plans in the blockchain sector. As VNF reported, Goldman Sachs is in negotiations to find founding partners for an independent company based on its Digital Asset Platform. The Digital Asset Platform was launched last year to enable the tokenization of traditional financial instruments and their issuance over blockchain networks.
The new company would focus on enabling financial organizations to issue, trade and settle blockchain-based financial instruments. Although the new platform will be an independent company, Goldman Sachs plans to retain its digital assets unit and continue to expand its operations in the general blockchain and crypto arena.
The initiative announced by Goldman Sachs is an example of the company's ongoing commitment to digital innovation, but there is no connection between this announcement and the claimed partnership with Ripple or Hedera.
Ripple and Hedera have collaborated in the blockchain industry in the past. In May, Ripple, in collaboration with XRP Labs, joined forces with Hedera and other major blockchain companies to form the DeRec Alliance, which aims to develop solutions for the decentralized recovery of digital assets.
This allowed users to recover private keys and secrets by leveraging a decentralized network. Additionally, in September, Ripple and Hedera co-founded the MiCA Crypto Alliance, a coalition that aims to ensure blockchain projects comply with the European Union's MiCA regulations.
