The decline of Hamster Kombat players: Reconnection plan

The Web3 game Hamster Kombat intends to 'reconnect' with participants from the first season and attract new users despite the recent decline in monthly active users (MAU).

Although the popular click game on Telegram set a record and reached 300 million users in August, excitement declined afterward, leaving around 30 million MAUs. Nevertheless, a representative from Hamster Kombat told TinTucBitcoin that this decline aligns with their expectations.

The Hamster Kombat team believes that while interest may wane, it will grow back in any project.

'Since our project has seasons, this is predictable. We are currently in the off-season, preparing to launch the second season,' the representative said. 'Even in this mid-season phase, our MAU figures remain above 30 million, indicating sustained interest.'

The spokesperson added that the team is 'planning to reconnect' with participants from the first season, while also trying to attract new players that they were previously unable to reach.

Preserving the 'core group' of players

On November 14, Hamster Kombat reported a daily spot trading volume of $1.3 billion and a perpetual trading volume of $4 billion for the Hamster Kombat Token (HMSTR). It also reported having 11 million Token Holders. The spokesperson told TinTucBitcoin:

'We currently have over 11 million Token Holders, allowing us to compete with leading blockchains. We plan to increase the number of Holders and expand into new markets.'

The team believes they have retained a 'core group' of about 30 million players who remain actively engaged even after the first airdrop ended. 'That is more than the total community of many other projects even before they had airdrops,' the representative said.

Hamster Kombat expects the audience to continue growing as new activities are planned for the future.

Telegram Paws and Blum booming

While Hamster Kombat is working to make a comeback, other Mini apps on Telegram are gaining significant attention. Notably, Paws has exploded in popularity and become one of the fastest-growing Mini apps on Telegram. At the time of writing, Paws has 40.7 million MAUs, according to data from Telegram.

Additionally, Blum, a hybrid exchange offering features of both centralized and decentralized exchanges, is emerging as a top Mini app. Blum also integrates a clicker game that allows users to earn points that can be converted into Token airdrops.

Another app, Major, has risen to the top of the Mini app rankings on Telegram with 34.9 million MAUs. Major allows users to complete tasks and earn cryptocurrency.
