$USUAL Usual Coin is the platform token of the stablecoin protocol Usual. Here is its detailed introduction:

Project Background

Usual was launched by Usual Labs, founded by Pierre PERSON, a French politician, member of parliament, and leader in French cryptocurrency legislation. The company was established on January 1, 2022, focusing on the development of stablecoin technology.

Technical Features

Usual is a multi-chain infrastructure that integrates tokenized real-world assets (RWA) from entities such as BlackRock and ondo, converting them into the stablecoin USD0. USD0 is issued with a 1:1 backing of ultra-short-term RWA assets and national bonds, offering higher security and stability compared to traditional stablecoins, reducing the probability of being discounted and liquidated during asset runs.

Token Economic Model

The total supply of Usual tokens is 4 billion, with an initial circulation of 494.6 million, accounting for 12.37% of the total. The Binance Launchpool allocation accounts for 7.5% of the total token supply, which is 300 million tokens. 90% of the total token supply will be allocated to the community, and 10% to internal personnel.

Application Scenarios

Users can deposit assets to obtain USD0. Users holding USD0 can lock it to provide liquidity or issue liquidity bond tokens USD0++, participating in the DeFi ecosystem to earn returns, such as airdrops of the project governance token USUAL and potential deposit earnings.

Financing Situation

This year, Usual completed two rounds of financing. On April 17, it completed a $7 million seed round led by IOSG Ventures and Kraken Ventures; on November 9, it completed a new round of financing of $1.5 million, with participation from Comfy Capital and others.

Market Dynamics

Binance launched the Usual Launchpool program on November 15 at 08:00 UTC+8, allowing users to lock BNB and FDUSD to receive USUAL airdrops. On November 19 at 18:00 UTC+8, the first release opened in Binance Pre-Market, supporting the USUAL/USDT trading pair.
