Today we are launching the largest update in the history of mini-apps. They now have access to full-screen mode, paid subscriptions, separate icons on the home screen, sending gifts, photos, and videos, creating documents for users, device motion data, requesting location data, setting statuses with emojis — and much more.
Full-screen mode (it's awesome 👍)
Mini-apps can now utilize the full screen in vertical or horizontal orientation. (Goodbye to those Sonys and PlayStations 😄)
But the coolest thing 🔥
To better optimize graphics and improve performance, mini-apps can gather information about the key characteristics of your device, such as its power and memory capacity. Using this information, developers can automatically adjust settings to provide the smoothest experience for all their users.
Even grandma's old Android can be useful for something!
AdsGram presented engaging statistics of Telegram Mini Apps users. The data was collected from over 600 applications, including TapSwap, Gamee, Fanton, Yescoin, and others.
So who are these people clicking on the screen, buying boosts for Stars, and waiting for token airdrops?
⚫️ Language in Telegram: English (50.3%), Russian (15.2%), Persian (9.7%), Indonesian (6.1%), Vietnamese (2.7%), Turkish (2.7), others.
⚫️ Country (without VPN adjustment): Nigeria (14.4%), Bangladesh (6.5%), Germany (5.9%), USA (5.8%), Russia (5.4%), India (5.3%), Vietnam (4.4%), others.
⚫️ Platform: Android (84.9%) (no wonder Pavel Durov melted his Samsung in Dubai), iOS (8.8%), Desktop (6.3%).
⚫️ It is also noteworthy that players from Nigeria and India predominantly use English in Telegram, so the likelihood that a randomly selected English-speaking user is from one of these two countries is over 40%.
⚫️ The Persian language is often used by players from America and Germany, which likely indicates active use of American and German VPNs by users from Eastern countries.
⚫️ And finally, the estimated user value (CPM) depending on geolocation: Russia (2.9 USDT), Nigeria (2.9 USDT), USA (2.9 USDT), Germany (2.5 USDT), Iran (1.7 USDT), India (1.5 USDT).
Pasha allows players from poor countries to play, where not everyone can afford to buy a gaming console, but many have a phone, great job🔥👍
Tracking device motion
Mini-apps can gather information about the motion of your device, allowing developers to add unique controls to games or create immersive projects in virtual reality.
Icons on the home screen
Now you can place icons of individual mini-apps on your device's home screen — and open your favorite games and services with a single tap. (Otherwise, I got tired of typing app names in the search bar 🤪)
Access to geolocation
Now you can share your location with mini-apps, giving developers the opportunity to create location-based games or interactive maps for events. (I wouldn't rush to share data, a draft officer might request this information about you at any moment 🤷♂️)
Gifts from apps
Apps can now use accumulated stars to send you gifts — for example, as a reward for achievements. (You can organize competitions in your group and chip in for the main prize 👍🥳)
Media file exchange
Now you can share media files directly from mini-apps. This feature makes it easy to send referral codes, generated memes, and much more in any chat. (Less phone memory will be cluttered, before I had to save everything on my phone)
