🚀Nearly 40% of the top 50 newly issued ETFs this year focus on crypto derivatives investment
Nearly 40% of the top 50 newly launched ETFs this year are related to cryptocurrencies. This popularity is unstoppable!
According to a tweet shared by ETF expert Nate Geraci on X, a total of 610 new ETFs were launched this year, 19 of which are related to Bitcoin, Ethereum or MicroStrategy and companies with a large amount of cryptocurrencies. And among these 19 ETFs, 12 of them made it into the top 20, attracting billions of dollars in funds!
Among them, the leader of the list is BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which has inflowed $24.7 billion this year! Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) and ARK 21Shares ARKB Fund are not to be outdone, with inflows of $10.75 billion and $2.6 billion respectively.
Ethereum ETFs are not far behind, with BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) having accumulated more than $1.7 billion in deposits since its launch in July. Several other ETH-based ETFs also made the top 50, with total flows exceeding $2.8 billion.
MicroStrategy, the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, holds more than 279,000 BTC, currently worth about $25.1 billion.
Meanwhile, MicroStrategy-related funds have contributed significantly to the overall value of crypto-related ETFs, including the YieldMax MSTR Option Income Strategy Fund, which has a book value of $750 million, and the T-Rex 2X Long MSTR Daily Target ETF, which has a market value of more than $534 million.
In addition to these big players, some smaller ETFs have also performed well, such as the VanEck Bitcoin ETF (HODL), ProShares Ultra Bitcoin ETF (BITU), and Coinshares Valkyrie's BRRR, which attracted $710 million, $696 million, and nearly $552 million in funds, respectively, which is larger than the inflows of many traditional financial products!
In summary, the above trends show that cryptocurrency ETFs have become the new darling of the investment field, not only attracting a large amount of capital inflows, but also reflecting the market's growing recognition and investment enthusiasm for digital assets.
Cryptocurrency, as an asset class, is gradually becoming one of the mainstream investment options, worthy of attention and consideration for inclusion in the investment portfolio.
