đąSam Bankman-Fried was found guilty of seven counts of criminal fraud, maximum sentence of 115 years in prison, the judge set a sentencing date of March 28, 2024.
The month-long trial was highlighted by testimony from key government witnesses, including  Caroline Ellison , Bankman-Fried's ex-boyfriend and former head of Alameda, and FTX co-founder  Gary Wang , who was Bankman-Fried's childhood friend from math camp. Both  pleaded guilty  in December to various charges and cooperated as witnesses for the prosecution.
Much of the defense's case was based on Bankman-Fried's own testimony, who told the court that he did not commit fraud or steal customers' money, but simply made some business mistakes.
