Trump's coming to power means that the U.S. will shrink its foreign aid,
including military and economic assistance. It will become increasingly difficult to seek refuge in the U.S.
Trump's governance perspective, in our words, is to mind one's own business and let others deal with their own problems. While this is certainly beneficial for his own people, it creates great uncertainty for other vulnerable groups around the world who are in urgent need of help and protection.
However, it is impossible for foreign policy to undergo a drastic change because the incoming cabinet will be a coalition of the Democratic and Republican parties, meaning a joint governance by both parties. This is why, more than half a year ago, the Republican party was able to obstruct the aid plan to Ukraine.
In summary, regardless of who is elected as President of the United States, it will be a coalition governance by both parties, consisting of the elite among the elite, with a strong think tank, and there will be no jokes for us to watch.
