Apple is reportedly planning to launch devices with the M4 Ultra chip next year.
Tech journalist Mark Gurman stated in the latest issue of the Power On newsletter that Apple plans to launch devices with the M4 Ultra chip next year, which is said to integrate up to a 32-core CPU and up to an 80-core GPU. For comparison, this is twice the specifications of the current M4 Max chip, which has a maximum of a 16-core CPU and a 40-core GPU. Gurman also believes that Apple plans to switch to the M4 Ultra chip for the Mac Studio between March and June next year, and a newly designed Mac Pro will switch to the M4 Ultra chip in the second half of next year.
