The U.S. election seems full of variables, but in fact, there is no suspense!
U.S. Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate for 2024, Harris, delivered her last speech before the election at the place where Trump claimed to his supporters on January 6, 2021, to "fight like hell." She warned American voters that Trump would open the floodgates for revenge against his opponents if elected, including ordinary voters, and she promised to work tirelessly for every American.
With less than a week until the 2024 U.S. election, the election seems full of suspense, but in fact, there is none. In fact, the likelihood of Harris being elected has greatly increased. Some may question that Trump is catching up with Harris in many swing states, even surpassing her. I want to say that if you choose to believe in polls, then we have already witnessed the first female president in U.S. history. In 2016, nearly all polls predicted that Hillary would win the election, but Trump made a comeback.
Some may also question that Harris lacks leadership charisma and is not the strongest candidate in the Democratic Party. The U.S. is a capitalist society, and the candidates chosen by capital are not necessarily the strongest, as long as they are compliant. The U.S. election is simply about choosing a less rotten apple among two rotten ones. In 2016, capital was just fooled by the polls, thinking that the Hillary they promoted would surely win the election, leading to a huge mistake due to momentary negligence. Now capital is very clear-headed; they will not allow another "black swan" to occur.
Others may question that Trump already has an advantage in 4 out of the 7 swing states. In fact, among the seven swing states, three are blue wall states, three are red wall states, and one only comes into play when it is tied. The three blue wall states are Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Currently, Harris holds a slight advantage in these three states, and Trump has not turned these states red in the poll data. On the contrary, the red wall state of Georgia may turn blue under Harris. If we acknowledge that the U.S. is a capitalist country, then capital can play its key role, ensuring that the three blue wall states do not fall and turning one red wall state blue, allowing pro-capital Harris to be elected.
