Peter Todd = Satoshi Nakamoto?

Canadian programmer Peter Todd is forced to hide for security reasons after an HBO documentary named him the inventor of Bitcoin.

Since the release of Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery by director Cullen Hoback on October 9, Todd has repeatedly denied that he is the alleged Satoshi Nakamoto.

However, the documentary filmmaker is confident that he has managed to present convincing arguments. One of the main pieces of evidence was the programmer’s post on the BitcoinTalk forum in December 2010, in which he allegedly mistakenly “finished Satoshi’s sentence” from his account.

At the time of the first cryptocurrency’s appearance, the programmer was about 20 years old, so there are doubts in the community about the ability of such a young specialist to create a complex peer-to-peer electronic monetary system. According to Hoback, the age is the reason for the anonymity - Todd was afraid that the invention would not be taken seriously due to his youth.

Unexpected fame brought problems. For example, one of the respondents sent 25 messages in two days, begging for help to pay off a loan.
