💲 JPMorgan's coin processes 1 billion USD in transactions every day
American giant JPMorgan Chase & Co is currently processing $1 billion in trading volume per day for its coin JPM Coin, a rare example of blockchain use by a major bank.
Mr. Takis Georgakopoulos, Head of Global Payments at JPMorgan, stated that there is still room to expand the "coverage" of JPM Coin.
PM Coin is a payment token that facilitates JPMorgan customers to make USD payments via blockchain worldwide. Last June, this Wall Street giant just integrated additional payment methods in Euro.
Launched in 2019, JPM Coin has processed more than $300 billion in transactions, making it the most widely used blockchain by financial enterprises. However, this number is only a small part of the $10,000 billion that JPMorgan is processing every day.
