Research has shown that emissions of methane, one of the most powerful greenhouse gases, are growing at an incredible rate. If we do not change direction, this will lead to catastrophic consequences for the climate. Here are some important facts:

1. Methane is stronger than carbon dioxide. Although methane is less abundant in the atmosphere, its ability to trap heat is 80 times greater than that of CO2 for the first 20 years. This makes it one of the most dangerous threats to global warming 🌡️.

2. Main sources of methane: The main sources of methane emissions are agriculture (especially livestock), the oil and gas industry, and landfills. This means that a significant share of the problem lies on our shoulders and in our hands - literally! 🌾🚜

3. Projections: If current emissions continue, global temperatures could rise by 1.5°C in the coming decades. This will cause more frequent natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and hurricanes. Scientists estimate that we could see sea levels rise by 5.5 feet by 2100, putting millions of lives and areas at risk.

🌱 What will happen if we do not act? If we continue to ignore the problem, the planet's climate system may become unstable by the end of the century. This will cause devastating changes: from global warming to abrupt changes in weather patterns, which will negatively affect agriculture and the economy. Ultimately, this will create unbearable living conditions in some parts of the world.

💡 What can be done: Reducing methane emissions, switching to clean energy sources, sustainable agriculture and improving waste management are key steps that can help prevent climate catastrophe. We need to act now!
