The Worldcoin project has rebranded as World Network and announced that its layer 2 blockchain World Chain, built on OP Stack, has officially launched its mainnet. Optimism, Alchemy, Uniswap, Safe, Dune and Etherscan will support the launch of the blockchain.
Built using OP Stack, World Network said that user transactions account for about 44% of OP Mainnet activity, making it the largest application on the network. World Chain will be open to everyone, and verified human users will have priority over robots on block space.  Developers will be able to reach millions of real users like this around the world and develop applications focused on everyday practicality.  The network will be deeply integrated with the Worldcoin protocol to accelerate growth and leverage World ID's proof of personhood.
