Telegram to open office in Kazakhstan
Messenger Telegram will open an office and appoint a representative in Kazakhstan to improve compliance and interaction with regulatory authorities, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
The opening of the Telegram office in Kazakhstan is in line with the latest efforts by the messenger and its founder Pavel Durov to improve relations with the authorities. In late September, the platform updated its user agreement to provide government agencies with IP addresses and phone numbers of those who violate the rules.
