Sotheby’s to auction seven “Autoglyphs”
From October 7 to 10, Sotheby’s will hold its first sealed-lot auction, titled “Algorithmic Primitivism: Autoglyphs – A Set of Seven,” for the complete set of seven “Autoglyphs” from the Seedphrase collection.
Created by Larva Labs in 2019, “Autoglyphs” is hailed as one of the first on-chain generative artworks that exist entirely on the Ethereum blockchain in the form of NFTs, making them immutable and historically significant.
mmERCH x Seedphrase Collection Sold for $37,600 at Christie’s Auction
The CryptoPunk-style hoodie collection from tech-driven fashion brand mmERCH and NFT influencer Seedphrase sold out on October 4. The exclusive collection of 322 hoodies, each paired with a 1/1 NFT artwork created by AI artist Claire Silver, was minted within 72 hours.
Additionally, five samples of the “ultra-deluxe” hoodie embellished with Swarovski crystals fetched $37,600 at auction, with one special edition featuring Swarovski man-made diamonds fetching more than $15,000.

(Money Electric: The Mystery of Bitcoin) will premiere on October 8
HBO's (MoneyElectronics: The Mystery of Bitcoin), which premiered on October 8, explores the origins of Bitcoin and its impact on the global economy. The documentary delves into the mysterious identity of Satoshi Nakamoto and suggests that the mysterious author of the Bitcoin white paper is Canadian programmer Peter Todd.
In addition to speculation, viewers can also learn how the invention of Bitcoin subverted traditional finance through valuable interviews with early pioneers of blockchain technology.
Crypokitties' (All the Zen) is now live on Telegram
CryptoKitties, the early breedable cat NFT, is back with a new game, “All the Zen,” which launched on the Telegram messaging platform on October 1, and since then, players have cracked more than 3.7 million new cat eggs.
“All the Zen” is the first official launch of the CryptoKitties intellectual property (IP) since the original series launched in 2017, allowing users to exchange and collect cats in a fun, decentralized way.
The new Telegram game is reportedly a teaser for the series’ upcoming launch on the Flow blockchain, with a new Halloween event launching within Telegram on Oct. 8.
Lamborghini partners with Animoca Brands and Motorverse to create immersive worlds
Lamborghini and web3 startup studio Animoca Brands are launching Fast ForWorld, an immersive platform that redefines engagement and ownership, the company announced on October 2, 2024. The platform will showcase Lamborghini’s vehicles in a blockchain-based game where fans will be able to store and play with unique digital vehicles and participate in missions.
The partnership marks Lamborghini’s first foray into the interoperable blockchain gaming space and, as stated in an Animoca Brands press release, will combine digital and physical experiences to “deliver breakthrough experiences and lasting loyalty to fans and customers.”
Telegram announces new “gifting” feature using NFTs
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov revealed a new feature that will allow users to convert animated images within the messaging app into NFTs. Gifts, launched on October 5, are animated images for sending customized messages and artworks. Users can also convert them into Telegram’s in-app currency Stars. This feature suggests that Telegram is delving deeper into web3 and digital goods.
(Off the Grid) Launches Limited Early Access on PS5 and Xbox
Gunzilla Games’ battle royale shooter is now live in limited early access on PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X and S, and on PC via the Epic Games Store.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine and built on Avalanche (more specifically, on its own layer-one subnet, GUNZ), making it the first blockchain game on PS5.
Epic Games announced the game on October 6, giving players a sneak peek at its new features ahead of its full release.
