According to the Bureau of Prisons records viewed by Cointelegraph, convicted former FTX executive Ryan Salame served his sentence at FCI Cumberland on October 11, 2024. Salame pleaded guilty in 2023 to operating an unregulated remittance business and campaign finance charges for his role in the 2022 FTX crash, and was subsequently sentenced to 90 months in prison. The former FTX executive attempted to postpone his October 11 surrender date to December 7, 2024, arguing that he was receiving treatment for a dog bite. The motion was strongly opposed by prosecutors and was rejected by Judge Lewis Kaplan on October 10.
