When I first got into crypto, I saw that the market was skyrocketing, and everyone was talking about how much money they were making. Of course, I got the bug, and thought, “I can’t miss this opportunity!” So without thinking much, I took the plunge and bought some Bitcoin, riding the wave. I was all excited, thinking that I was going to make some easy money in no time. But, bam! A few days later, the market crashed. I looked at my account and the balance… phew, I was frozen!

Honestly, I was panicking, I didn't know if I should sell everything quickly so as not to lose more. But then I said to myself: "Wait, this can't be that easy, I have to consult with someone who knows about this." So I contacted a crypto master, a guy who has been in this for a while, and I told him my situation. After listening to me, he laughed and said: "Dude, what happened to you is typical of rookies, you buy when everything is going up, but when it goes down, you panic. In the crypto world, what you have to do is just the opposite, buy when everything is down, when people are scared."

I, of course, freaked out and asked him: "But how am I going to buy when everything is shit? What if it keeps going down?"

The crypto master, very calm, explained to me: “The crypto market, like any other, is cyclical. Most people, when they see that everything is going down, get scared and sell. But those who really know, buy at those times, when everything is cheaper. Because the important thing is to catch the train when it is down, not when it is at full speed. That is where the opportunities are.”

That conversation got me thinking a lot. Since then, I started to change my mindset and, instead of following the hype of the moment, I started buying little by little when the market was down. Patience, man, patience.

A few months later, the market started to recover, and the cryptos I had bought when they were cheap started to increase in value. What a rush! That's when I really understood what the master had told me: "Buy at low times, because when the wave comes, you'll be ready." Since then, I no longer have FOMO, but instead try to think with my head and be more strategic.

In the end, this experience taught me that in crypto, opportunities are when people are scared. You have to have the courage to move in those moments. The tailwind always comes, but you have to be ready when everything seems to be against you.
