In a philosophical way, Dostoevsky wanted to strip the holiness from individuals and nations. Those people who made for themselves a high position and place and see themselves as having honorable blood and a noble lineage.

They made themselves the best and purest of people, and even made themselves of a holy lineage, so that others had nothing to do but listen and obey.

But the truth is that these are the most ridiculous people, they are just a group of swindlers, fraudsters and liars.

They were able to play on people's emotions and feelings and exploited people's weak understanding and the weaknesses of their good hearts until they built for themselves this imaginary holiness.

"I am not very comfortable with people of honor and morals, who are excessively noble and upright. Those who must choose every word they say to them. I consider them nothing but pretentious fools."
