Musk’s Furious Response to Trump's Lead Over Harris

Former President Donald Trump has taken the lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in betting markets, drawing responses from public figures, including Elon Musk. The Tesla CEO expressed his frustration after Trump, a known cryptocurrency advocate, surged ahead.

Musk Weighs In on the Trump-Harris Showdown

An X user (formerly known as Twitter) shared a screenshot from Polymarket, highlighting Trump's rising odds of winning and captioning it, "Kamala is falling apart before our very eyes." Musk, a prominent figure in the tech world, underscored the necessity for a clear and undeniable victory, referring to the widening gap in the crypto-related political betting odds between Trump and Harris.

"Victory alone isn’t enough—it has to be overwhelmingly decisive," Musk remarked on X, pointing to the increasing gap between the two candidates. Trump's odds have been climbing, signaling the potential for a "clear" victory in the former president's favor. At the time of reporting, Polymarket gave Trump a 53.4% chance of winning, compared to Harris' 45.7%.

Musk, who has recently expressed support for Trump, hinted at the possibility of joining his administration, potentially leading a new, efficiency-driven government body. Over the weekend, Musk strengthened his endorsement by giving a speech at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.

In recent months, Musk has been vocal about his shifting political stance, criticizing the Democratic Party. "I used to vote for Democrats because they were generally kind, but now they’ve become the party of division and animosity. I can no longer support them and will be voting Republican," Musk shared on X.

Earlier today, Musk called his stance "an obvious prediction," reiterating his disdain for the Democratic Party. This statement comes on the heels of a significant legal battle.

On October 7, the Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Musk’s X Corp. challenging a search warrant that sought access to Trump’s private communications on the platform. X Corp. argued that the special counsel Jack Smith’s methods of obtaining the warrant infringed on First Amendment rights.

The legal standoff has further strained relations between Musk’s platform and authorities. Additionally, Swedish commentator Peter Imanuelsen remarked on X about the divided reactions to Musk's continued support for Trump.
