🔶UK implements crypto tax breaks for foreigners using local brokers

From January 1, 2023, the UK will implement a tax exemption policy for foreign investors who use local brokers or investment managers to invest in cryptocurrencies. Furthermore, HMRC stated that “this tax exemption is an important factor in attracting global investors and means that foreign investors will not be subject to UK tax simply by appointing a UK investment manager. In order to consolidate the UK as an investment Management hub status, this tax exemption has been extended to include crypto-assets so that crypto-asset-related funds are not delayed in appointing UK managers.”
