The Australian Federal Police (AFP) have seized $6.4 million in cryptocurrency as part of a global operation to crack down on the encrypted messaging app Ghost.
- The operation has been dubbed "Operation Kraken", although the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange is not involved.
- The operation has resulted in the arrest of Jay Ji Yoon Jung, the alleged mastermind behind Ghost.
- The seized cryptocurrency has been transferred to a secure AFP vault.
- The operation has resulted in the arrest of 46 people and the seizure of 200 kg of drugs.
