According to TechFlow, on October 3, according to official news, Aptos Labs announced the acquisition of HashPalette to strategically expand into the Japanese market.

It is reported that HashPalette Inc. is a subsidiary of HashPort Inc. and is the developer of the Palette blockchain. According to the agreement, HashPort will migrate Palette Chain and HashPalette's applications to the Aptos network, including the EXPO2025 digital wallet for the 2025 Osaka and Kansai Japan Expo.

Through this acquisition, Aptos will become the exclusive blockchain support partner for the digital wallet of EXPO2025 in Osaka and Kansai, Japan, and will also enable Aptos to better establish stronger relationships with Japan's most influential companies.

Meanwhile, holders of Palette Chain’s governance token (PLT) are expected to be able to redeem their PLT tokens for APT, the native token of Aptos, starting in late November.

It should be noted that the transaction has not yet been finalized and is still in the final approval stage.
