[The US SEC appeals the ruling on the Ripple case] Golden Finance reported that according to documents on Wednesday, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is appealing the previous ruling of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit regarding Web3 payment company Ripple. Previously, the judge ordered Ripple to pay a civil penalty of $125 million on August 7, which is much lower than the $2 billion fine initially requested by the SEC. The ruling also partially approved and rejected the SEC's preliminary remedial motion regarding Ripple's sale of XRP tokens.
