According to three people familiar with the matter, FTX Asset Liquidators are planning to auction 22.3 million locked Worldcoin (WLD) tokens, currently worth about $37.7 million, at a significant discount. Bids will close at 8 pm ET this Wednesday, and the discount may be slashed by 40% to 75% based on the current market price. The auction is part of FTX Liquidators' fund recovery efforts to repay creditors, and the tokens will be unlocked starting on December 1, 2024, with 20,539 WLDs unlocked per day until July 24, 2026.
