According to the Lattice Fund report, of the more than 1,200 crypto startups that raised a total of $5 billion in funding in 2022, 76% have successfully launched products on the mainnet, and 18.5% of the companies are no longer active or closed; in addition, only 1.5% of startups have found "product market fit (PMF)", and only 12% of the projects have successfully obtained additional financing. Lattice Fund pointed out that among the startups that raised funds in 2022, Ethereum Restaking Protocol EigenLayer was the most successful one, while games and the metaverse proved to be more hype than substance, with the highest failure rate of all fields.
