Ethereum’s Layer 2 network Arbitrum One just hit 1 billion transactions this week! 🎉 In the three years since its mainnet launch in August 2021, Arbitrum One has logged 1,003 billion transactions according to Arbiscan.
- For comparison, Coinbase’s Layer 2 network Base has logged 755 million transactions, while OP Mainnet has just 347 million.
- Arbitrum One also leads in total value locked (TVL) among Layer 2 solutions, with $14.3 billion, compared to Base ($7.32 billion) and OP Mainnet ($6.57 billion) according to L2Beat.
Last month, stablecoin issuer Paxos announced plans to launch its product on Arbitrum One, aiming for institutional integration and bringing real-world assets to the blockchain.
Walter Hessert of Paxos said, “We are excited to partner with Arbitrum to bring more real-world assets to the blockchain. Arbitrum is known for its speed, security, and scalability.”
