Inflation in Germany fell below expectations.

◻️In Germany, the EU-harmonized consumer price index (CPI) fell below expectations in September, falling to 1.8% on an annual basis. The CPI, which was 2% in August, was expected to be 1.9% in September.

◼️On a monthly basis, the CPI fell by 0.1%. While core inflation fell to 2.7%, service inflation was recorded as 3.8%. According to the data; Energy costs fell by 7.6% in September.

◻️Economists state that inflation may rise again towards the end of the year. Economist Sebastian Becker emphasized that core inflation remaining at high levels does not fully solve the inflation problem.
