After Taiwan launched the Guidance Principles for Virtual Currency Industry, various industries have become increasingly clear about "what is compliance". The anti-warfare statement has become a sweet burden. It is not only a recognized compliance qualification to a certain extent, but also for For some industry players, compliance costs bring a heavy burden.
Businesses at home and abroad who want to land in Taiwan are exploring the possibility of "acquiring" businesses with the qualifications to make anti-vaccination declarations. We have also seen a situation where existing businesses on multiple lists need to replace the person in charge, which shows the popularity of this qualification.
However, anti-laundering claims may not actually be that valuable. The Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission and the Virtual Asset Platform and Trading Business Association will launch a self-regulation draft in September, which will set more compliance standards and penalties for VASPs. More importantly, the Financial Supervisory Commission has stated in April this year that it will move towards compliance with Registration system for specific capital and security standards.
After the registration system is launched, these current declaration qualifications will inevitably be re-examined, and self-regulatory regulations will also clearly classify operators, with varying degrees of detailed regulations. Obtaining the qualification for anti-aging declaration now does not guarantee future registration qualifications.
