South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has observed exceptional trading volumes in some altcoins, indicating increasing interest in these assets.
Waves (WAVES) and Civic (CVC) coins in particular saw notable increases, with both assets showing significant trading activity compared to their 50-period averages. On Upbit, Waves saw a massive 2464.04% increase in 4-hour trading volume, jumping from an average of around $1 million to an impressive $28 million. In contrast, Binance saw a more modest but still notable increase, with 4-hour trading volume increasing by 44.83%, from $590,000 to $855,000.
Civic (CVC)$CVC
The 1-hour chart on Upbit showed an even more dramatic increase, with trading volume jumping 639.39% from an average of $479,000 to $4 million. On Binance, CVC’s volume increased 43.88% from $290,000 to $417,000. Storj (STORJ) also saw a significant increase on Upbit’s 1-hour chart, with volume rising 154.23% from an average of $143,000 to $363,000. However, on Binance, Storj saw a slight decline, with volume decreasing 11.83% from $178,000 to $157,000.
Pundi X (PUNDIX)$PUNDIX
On Upbit, the 1-hour trading volume increased by 163.70%, rising from $811,000 to $2 million. Meanwhile, on Binance, the volume increased by 48.81%, from $169,000 to $251,000.
Finally, Loom Network (LOOM) saw a significant increase on Upbit, with 1-hour trading volume increasing by 338.95% from $9 million to $41 million, while on Binance, 1-hour volume for LOOM increased by 30.31% from $674,000 to $878,000.
