Due to the repayment plan, FTT has skyrocketed. Should I buy or short it now? Putting aside short-term speculation, is FTT suitable for long-term holding?

Earlier, FTX announced that it would start repaying $16 billion to creditors next Monday. It was not until today that its platform currency FTT skyrocketed. It has to be said that the market's response was a bit delayed.

Regarding the short-term price trend of FTT, I personally prefer to short it.

The surge caused by ordinary news speculation will decrease over time, and the price will fall accordingly.

And at the daily level, the trading volume of today's K-line is extremely prominent. In the past, the rise in this state could not continue. "Large volume rise" usually means that a correction will begin.

So you can short it in leveraged trading. Even if you don't short it, it is not recommended to take over at a high level. The risk is very high.

In addition, does the repayment plan mean that FTT can be held for a long time?

Not really. The reason for the repayment plan is the bankruptcy of FTX. This is not a glamorous thing. Instead, it has brought a crisis of trust to FTT. At least most people will not choose to invest in a bankrupt project.

More importantly, the $16 billion repaid is not all user assets, and some retail investors with no status can only recover 10% to 20% of their assets.

Therefore, even if the repayment plan injects a lot of funds into the market, creditors may sell a lot after receiving the repayment funds, which is not good for FTT and there is no need to hold it for a long time.
