• Stand With Crypto downgrades Kamala Harris to a B and says More information needed after community feedback.

  • Stand With Crypto, a lobby group dedicated to supporting coin-based #digital assets, has been forced to change its #cryptocurrency rating for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

  • The organization, which runs a website that grades U. S. politicians on their support for #cryptocurrencies , gave candidate Harris a B grade for being cryptocurrency friendly.

  • The rating was compiled after the vice president spoke at a charity event in New York City on Sept. 22. She said she would encourage innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence and digital assets. She also pledged to cut the excessive bureaucracy that many believe characterizes cryptocurrency regulation in the U. S.

  • Stand With Crypto found the statement "somewhat supportive" of the cryptocurrency industry and raised Harris's card on the site, giving him the second highest possible grade.

  • In comparison, the site gave Donald Trump an "A" grade and said he "strongly supports" digital assets. The Republican candidate is believed to have made at least 21 statements about cryptocurrencies.

  • Stand With Crypto calls the fact that the candidate has spoken out about cryptocurrencies a victory, but many in the community believe Mr. Harris does not deserve such a high rating.

  • #bitcoin enthusiast Wayne Vaughn called the Democratic candidate's only speech on cryptocurrencies "neutral.

  • He also decried what he said was the Biden-Harris administration's open hostility toward cryptocurrencies, suggesting that at best the vice president should have gotten an "F.

  • Attorney Michael Cairo of cryptocurrency boutique firm Horizons Law and Consulting said Stand With Crypto exaggerates her influence and that despite her resume containing only vague mentions of innovation, the 59-year-old Californian was a big supporter of the industry.
