According to TechFlow, the cross-chain interoperability protocol Hyperlane has launched a new cross-chain token standard, Warp Token. This standard supports asset issuers to achieve permissionless token distribution in the Hyperlane network.

The main features of Warp Token include: support for permissionless expansion to new chains, full open source, customizable security and fees, and support for unique token types such as yield routing.

Unlike other protocols, Hyperlane can achieve chain expansion without centralized validators, and developers can connect new chains and deploy token bridges on their own. The standard also provides modular security, allowing users to customize security components. Hyperlane said that the Warp Token standard is particularly suitable for rollup projects and asset issuers who want to quickly expand cross-chain coverage. Developers can quickly deploy token bridges and set up code-free UIs through simple CLI commands.
