PANews reported on September 29 that the Stacks Foundation posted on X that the core developers said the Nakamoto testnet hard fork planned for this week was successfully activated. Please note that the testnet may be reset over the weekend to eliminate some issues found by the core developers. During the testnet upgrade, the core developers found some bugs related to the way nodes communicate about the retention period extension. The testnet is mostly running normally, and the core developers are working hard to eliminate the last few issues and hope to make slight adjustments to the mainnet hard fork blocks. An update on the details of the hard fork is planned to be released before October 4.
