BlackRock's Digital Assets Division: Bitcoin Is Not a Risk

Robbie Mitchell, head of digital assets at asset management giant BlackRock, believes that classifying Bitcoin as a risky asset is wrong, despite its increasing correlation with recent US stock movements.

Mitchell explained in an interview with Bloomberg that traditional assets such as stocks, commodities and high-yield bonds are the ones that are considered more risky, as their performance is usually closely linked to economic and market cycles.

He stressed that Bitcoin, unlike traditional assets, has a unique feature that distinguishes it from other assets, which is that it is considered a global alternative to traditional money.
