How much Bitcoin (BTC) does Elon Musk's companies own so far?
The Arkham Intelligence platform recently revealed the total Bitcoin holdings of both Tesla and SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk.
The two companies currently own Bitcoin worth a total of $1.30 billion, equivalent to about 19,788 Bitcoins.
The data showed that Tesla alone owns about $780 million in Bitcoin, while SpaceX's holdings are estimated at about $560 million.
This reflects Musk's optimistic approach to Bitcoin.
Tesla had previously started investing in the digital currency in 2021 to increase its financial returns, and Tesla had previously announced accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment before backing down from this step and justifying it with the high consumption of resources and harm to the environment.
Elon Musk has promised that if the Bitcoin mining industry switches to greener resources, he may reconsider adopting Bitcoin as a means of payment.
