Co-founder & former CEO of Binance, known as CZ, has been free since September 27, 2024. Previously, he was arrested for his involvement in the weakness in money laundering control of Binance exchange.

After 4 months of being banned from the media, CZ is finally free. So what will be the next journey for the former Binance CEO?

With a net worth of $60 billion, CZ has plenty of options to move forward. However, one thing is certain: CZ will not return to run Binance.

Because according to the plea agreement dated November 21, Binance accepted the condition that CZ has nothing to do with the operation/management of the exchange after his freedom.

Binance is no longer in its infancy, it's time for CZ to leave and have his own goals. This is the content of the farewell post of the former CEO of Binance.

According to Tim Draper, CZ will still pursue the mission of expanding the Bitcoin economy. In the farewell letter, CZ also said he wants to delve deeper into DeFi.

Any project that receives CZ's support will certainly have a lot of advantages. Although he does not directly intervene, it is hard to believe that this former CEO sits still and does nothing.

Indeed, CZ shared that he wants to help startups/young entrepreneurs as a mentor/coach. From there, we can see a part of the orientation related to the educational project.

On March 19, CZ announced the establishment of the Giggle Academy platform with the goal of supporting children under 13 years old in developing countries who do not have access to advanced education.

Giggle Academy will focus on providing basic knowledge such as Mathematics, Physics, Science, Biology and Finance. In particular, there will be a few subjects that are not available in traditional classrooms such as Negotiation, Business, Sales, Legal, Blockchain, AI, Accounting,...

In addition, CZ wants to solve problems such as corruption, climate change,... however, due to lack of expertise, he will focus on building a team first.

The former Binance CEO also revealed that he is writing a book about his personal career. Having a very busy life, not even a day without the phone ringing for the past 6.5 years, the time in prison helped CZ calm down and decide to write a memoir.

Finally, although CZ was released, Binance still faces legal issues in the future. Binance agreed to pay $4.3 billion in fines, but this is only in the US. There are many other countries/regions where Binance is still entangled.

In the new era without CZ, Binance has gradually shifted its direction from expansion to legal compliance. That is why we feel that Binance is no longer the leading name in the market trend recently.
