Bloomberg calculated that the founder and CEO of the Russian cryptocurrency mining company BitRiver, Igor Runets, owns assets worth $230 million. The journalists' calculations are based on an approximate valuation of BitRiver and the cost of capacity in the company's data centers.

It is known that Runets built the first data center for mining digital assets in Bratsk in 2017. At the same time, he received an MBA from Stanford University. Now he manages 15 sites with 175,000 servers with a total capacity of more than 533 MW.
