Vinteum announced the II SatsHack, a hackathon focused on developing practical solutions using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.
Registration is now open and the winners will be revealed in November at Satsconf 2024.
Hackathon aims to stimulate innovation with Bitcoin and Lightning Network
The II SatsHack is promoted by Vinteum. The hackathon, therefore, aims to encourage builders and developers to build impactful and innovative solutions for Latin America.
To stimulate competition, more than R$85,000 in prizes will be distributed. In addition, the hackathon aims to train builders and promote collaboration.

Suggested topics include: open source contributions, Lightning Network innovations, financial inclusion, Bitcoin education, community tools, and decentralized protocols.
In this way, participation in the hackathon can be individual or as a team. Thus, professionals from different areas are eligible, such as:
Bitcoin and Lightning Developer;
Designer (UI/UX, Visual);
Product managers;
Business developers;
Content creators;
Bitcoin Educators;
Data scientists;
Marketing professionals.
A jury will then approve the projects, and the highlights will receive mentoring to present at Satsconf on November 8. The winners will be announced the following day.
The best project will receive a prize of R$30,000, the second place will receive R$20,000 and the third place will receive R$10,000. In addition, special categories such as design and pitch can receive prizes of R$5,000 each.
“The idea behind SatsHack is to showcase projects that will impact the reality of Latin America using Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. We believe that with creativity and the right mentoring, we will be able to help participants build innovative solutions to solve real-world problems,” says Vinteum CEO Lucas Ferreira.

Until October 10th – registrations;
From October 12th to 15th – building ideas and team building;
From October 16th to November 5th – workshops and hacking;
November 5th – submission of projects.
