Sky Mavis Teams Up With Pals To Introduce Axie Pals: AI-Powered Companions Living In Google Chrome

Blockchain-based video game development studio Sky Mavis announced it has partnered with Pals to launch Axie Pals, a Google Chrome browser extension that brings users’ non-fungible token (NFT) Axies to life on their screens.

Axie Pals are AI-driven, interactive representations of NFT Axies that are set to serve as digital companions. These companions are intended to accompany users as they browse the internet, watch videos, play games, or engage in various digital activities.

In order to get started, users are encouraged to sign in at metapals.ai/axie, connect their Ronin Wallet, and select their Axie Pals. On desktop, users will be prompted to install the extension from the Chrome Store. Once the extension is opened, a navigation bar will be accessible. Users can begin playing Axie Pals in the Axie World via metapals.ai/axie or access Axie Pals through other browsers using the extension.

Users will have the ability to feed, pet, and wake up their Axies. To feed them, users must open the Axie Pal backpack, locate some food, and let their Axie enjoy a meal. By feeding their Axie Pals, users can earn AXP tokens. They can express affection for their Axies by moving the cursor over the Axie until a heart animation appears, which will enhance the Axie’s mood. Users can also manage their Axie Pal through a retractable taskbar, waking them up in the morning and putting them to sleep after a busy day.

Furthermore, users can visit their friends’ Axie Pal hangouts or take their Axies with them while browsing in Google Chrome. The Axie Pal team is also planning to implement additional AI-driven features that will allow users to call and chat with their Axies.

Interact With Axie Pals To Generate AXP: A Guide To Passive And Active Rewards

Interacting with Axie Pals can also earn users AXP. There are two methods to accumulate the points–passive and active. Passive AXP can be earned by keeping the extension running in the background. Active AXP is earned through various actions such as feeding and petting the Axies.

If the care index is between 0% and 39%, users will earn 1 AXP per minute, resulting in a total of 60 AXP in an hour. In contrast, when the care index ranges from 70% to 100%, users can generate 3 AXP per minute, equating to 180 AXP in an hour.

Active AXP can be accumulated as users take care of their Axie Pals. Feeding the companion yields 20 AXP, petting gives 5 AXP, picking them up awards 5 AXP, and visiting friends provides another 20 AXP. AXP can also be earned from daily missions if the user’s care index is above 90%, which rewards 50 AXP, and by claiming popcorn at the cinema, which offers 20 AXP.

Additionally, the AXS Leaderboard encourages users to keep Axies happy to earn points. At the end of each month, players with the highest care index will receive AXS rewards. To gain points, users need to make their Axies happier for longer periods. Moreover, extra AXS can be earned by assisting fellow Lunacians. The top 10 referrers between now and October 15th will each receive 20 AXS, and each successful referral will earn users 1 Coco.
