With the highly anticipated token airdrop just hours away, the Hamster Kombat team has released details on its upcoming development roadmap. In addition to plans to launch Season 2 of the popular Telegram game, the Hamster Kombat creative team also shared a series of new strategies, including using ad revenue to buy back tokens for redistribution to players.
“Season 2, scheduled to launch in the coming weeks, will seamlessly integrate the platform’s content, including the Hamster Kombat metagame and third-party games. We also plan to use ad revenue to buy back tokens from the marketplace, distribute them to players on a regular basis, and burn them.”
One of the highlights of Hamster Kombat is the fact that it takes players to YouTube to watch videos.
Additionally, the team also plans to expand its ecosystem by launching in new regions. Season 2 of Hamster Kombat will integrate NFTs as in-game assets, scheduled for November. This month, they will also launch a progressive web app (PWA) for both desktop and mobile devices on Apple and Android.
Thursday’s Hamster Kombat token airdrop is considered one of the most notable token launches of the year. The development team said that of the more than 300 million registered players playing Hamster Kombat on Telegram, 131 million players were eligible to receive tokens.
Recently, some users have complained on X that Hamster Kombat’s token distribution strategy has resulted in the unfair exclusion of millions of players. In response, Hamster Kombat has confirmed that 2.3 million bots and “cheaters” have been excluded from receiving tokens.
“We determined the minimum hourly profit level to maximize the benefits for active loyal players, resulting in over 131 million eligible players. A player can achieve this in just over a day,” the team said. They also added that “most airdrops (around 80%)” are based on “hourly profit rates.”
