🚀 Visa is diving into DeFi! 🌐 The payments giant has launched the Visa Tokenized Asset Platform (VTAP) to help banks issue fiat-backed tokens on Ethereum.

First up? Spanish bank BBVA is gearing up for a live pilot in 2025. VTAP will use smart contracts to digitize and automate processes, making near-real-time settlements of tokenized RWAs like commodities and bonds a reality.

Visa's blockchain game is strong, already processing USDC payments on Ethereum since 2021 and partnering with Brazil on a CBDC pilot.
