According to Foresight News, BitcoinOS (BOS), the infrastructure supporting Bitcoin's second-layer network, has open-sourced the BitSNARK verification protocol for further experimentation in Bitcoin. BitSNARK allows zk-SNARK proofs to run on Bitcoin without changing the core protocol.
