According to ChainCatcher, according to The Block, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said that more and more top financial advisors are allocating crypto assets in their personal investment portfolios.

At the Barron’s Advisor 100 Summit in Florida last week, Hougan mentioned that about 70% of advisors own Bitcoin or other crypto assets, compared with only 10%-20% in the previous two years.

While many advisors do not yet have Bitcoin allocated in their client accounts, Hougan predicts there could be significant changes within six to 12 months as advisors’ personal allocations increase, followed by client investments. He believes this is an important signal for the financial community’s increased acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
