The GameFi project L3E7, which has 120,000 followers on Twitter, was revealed today (9/23) that a suspected web page was hacked, with the official website's game loading point automatically downloading a Trojan horse program and linking to a pornographic site. The whistleblower said the vulnerability emptied his wallet and lost more than $10,000 in property.

RMB 10 Million Financing RPG Chain Game, Known as the First LBS Game

L3E7 is known as the first RPG game based on Location-Based Service (LBS), which uses rendering technology to present the earth on Web 3. In addition, you can also share game revenue by holding NFT. NFT is not only a game ticket, but also a certificate of equity. On April 26 this year, L3E7 announced that it had received 10 million magnesium financing led by SevenX Ventures and others.

Even after changing the computer, it’s still the same, which points directly to official security issues.

The person who broke the news, Esonsu.eth, said on Twitter that after downloading the game, his wallet was emptied and he lost more than 10,000 US dollars. He also marked the official request for an explanation.

He then posted an article describing the incident. He said that when downloading the game in the morning, he clicked on the official website and entered the Gofile cloud download page from the download in the lower left corner. It has been normal since then, but when it comes to downloading, it automatically downloads software that has nothing to do with the official website, just like video content. After downloading, all wallets were emptied, and it was stated that there were many unknown files buried in the Gofile webpage.

He said that the issue of jumping to porn websites and automatic downloads has been submitted to the official Discord, but has not yet been resolved. At the same time, he also said that it was not like clicking on other phishing links, because he changed five computers and still got the same result.

Esonsu.eth later stated that it was suspected that someone was hacking into the download website to provide phishing links, and the official website has now removed the source download site.

Paradoxically, there should be multiple victims if the official website is hacked, but no other disasters have been discovered so far.

No official official reply has been received before the deadline, but L3E7's marketing manager @Jer_NFTworld responded: "Currently, thousands of people have downloaded the official website and the game, and I haven't seen anyone else having this problem. Think about it, maybe it's something else. Something went wrong?" Lian News reminds you to pay attention to information security and never click on unknown URLs. (ScamSniffer phishing report: More than 300 million yuan was lost in half a year, and one person had tens of millions of magnesium stolen, becoming the second largest disaster-hit household in history)
