According to a Bloomberg reporter present at the fundraiser on Wall Street, Vice President Harris said she would “encourage innovative technologies like AI and digital assets, while protecting consumers and investors.”

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee in the November election, spoke about the cryptocurrency industry for the first time at a fundraiser on Wall Street, emphasizing AI and crypto as part of her “opportunity economy” vision.

“I will work with workers, small businesses, founders, and corporations to build an economy of opportunity. We will invest in America’s competitiveness and future, encourage technologies like AI and digital assets, and protect consumers and investors. We will create a business environment with clear, transparent rules,” Harris said, according to Bloomberg.

The Manhattan fundraiser, billed as the last chance to hear Harris speak before the election, drew a star-studded lineup including Anne Hathaway, Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Porter.

Tickets range from $500 to $1 million, boosting Harris' campaign funds, which are now ahead of Donald Trump financially.

Reuters also reported that Harris will announce a series of new economic policies aimed at helping Americans build wealth and creating economic incentives for businesses, although details have not been disclosed.

After the debate with Trump, Harris' odds of winning increased on the Polymarket prediction platform, with her leading in four of the six battleground states, and having a 52% chance of winning compared to Trump's 47%.

Meanwhile, Trump attracted attention from the crypto community when he visited the Bitcoin bar PubKey in New York and revealed more about his family's World Liberty Financial project, although the industry reaction remained controversial.
